Indian firm, Rajoo Engineers Limited, has formed a joint venture with the Italian company Bausano & Figli S.p.a to produce and market pipe and profile lines. Rajoo is in effect diversifying into the pipe and profile extrusion machinery business.
Rajoo Bausano Extrusion Pvt. Ltd., the JV company, will begin operations in 2011. Rajoo will supply the infrastructure and Bausano will supply the technology.
This may be the opportunity that the Indian pipe manufacturing industry has been waiting for. With lack of availability of modern equipment / technology for PVC pipe production, companies had to operate with decades old technologies,” the company said in a statement.
The patented high torque ‘Multi-Drive’ system has four synchronized motors. These motors which drive the Rajoo-Bausano extruder have much smaller motors so they consume less power and have lower maintenance costs.
Rajoo Bausano Extrusion Pvt. Ltd. will market these products in India, the gulf, SAARC region and various parts of Africa.
