Overview
Poland’s official title is the Republic of Poland and is located in Central Europe with Germany on the west and the Czech Republic and Slovakia on the south. Other countries that border Poland are Belarus, the Baltic Sea, Lithuania and Ukraine. Poland spans 312,679 square kilometers, rendering it the world’s 69th largest and Europe’s 9th largest country. It is home to 38 million people, which is the sixth most populous member of the European Union.
